Paul Burris, CPA, is a Shareholder in the tax division of LBMC, PC in the Nashville office. His practice includes a wide variety of clients, from public companies to sole proprietors.
Paul has extensive experience in financial statement reporting of taxes under ASC 740 and income tax compliance and planning for multi-national and multi-state corporations and partnerships. He often works closely with clients in connection with the acquisition and sale of businesses and has been involved in several restructuring projects. Additionally, he is adept at handling Internal Revenue Examinations and has been successful at identifying refund opportunities along with improving tax filing positions on an ongoing basis for continued tax savings for new clients.
Paul has diversified experience with a variety of industries including manufacturing, distributing, retail, oil and gas, healthcare, and others.
Paul is currently serving on the firm’s board of directors and other governance committees.
Active in the community, Paul served on the board of directors as treasury of the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center (Davis House CAC) and is a passionate supporter of the LBMC Cares Foundation.
Prior to joining LBMC in 2006, Paul served as the tax director for a global restaurant organization. His prior experience includes over seven years with the Nashville office of KPMG LLP.
